Death Cab for Cutie is extending its latest chapter well into 2027, announcing a new slate of North American concerts behind the band’s 11th studio album, I Built You A Tower.
The newly announced mainland run gets underway March 11 in Nashville and is scheduled to continue through April 16 in Asheville, North Carolina. Before that stretch begins, the band will make a January 19 stop in Honolulu.
The itinerary gives fans across the United States and Canada plenty of opportunities to catch the veteran indie rock group. Stops include Knoxville, Atlanta, St. Augustine, Miami Beach, Orlando, Houston, Dallas, New Orleans, Pittsburgh, Detroit, Niagara Falls, Ottawa, Montreal and several other cities.
Some markets are getting an extra dose of Death Cab. The band will play two nights at The Eastern in Atlanta on March 14 and 15, followed by another two-night stand at MGM Music Hall at Fenway in Boston on April 7 and 8.
One of the tour’s marquee stops arrives April 13, when Death Cab for Cutie takes over New York City’s Radio City Music Hall.
Swapmeet will join the band as support throughout the newly announced mainland dates.
The tour continues the campaign surrounding I Built You A Tower, the band’s 11th studio album and its first following a return to the independent-label world.
Death Cab for Cutie also marked the tour announcement with a new animated video for “Stone Over Water.” Musician and animator Sean Solomon created the clip, pairing the emotionally heavy song with a visually playful animated approach and a message centered on human connection.
The band still has plenty of road ahead before the 2027 North American run begins. Its current schedule includes performances in Europe, Japan and Australia, followed by a November show in Chicago.
Artist presales for the newly announced dates begin September 23 at 10 a.m. local time, followed by the general public sale September 25 at 10 a.m. local time. Details for the Austin stop, including the venue and ticket sale date, are expected to be announced later.
