David Foster is an American icon who is actually born Canadian, crafting and producing the soundtrack of our lives. Consider that he’s written, produced, or composed hits for Celine Dion, Madonna, Mary J. Blige, Olivia Newton-John, Seal, Chicago, Michael Jackson and Rod Stewart. David’s written or co-written the biggest Whitney Houston songs “I Have Nothing,” “I Will Always Love You,” and “Run to You,” and his boys were the subject of a reality TV show called The Princes of Malibu a few years back.
David is making news outside the recording studio this week, as he and American Idol alum Katharine McPhee are dating. Oh, she’s 34 and he’s 68. Davis has been luckier in the studio than in love, having been married four times, with five biological daughters and seven grandchildren. Girlfriend Katharine is starring in the Broadway musical Waitress.
