Valentino Beauty is entering a new era of fragrance after announcing Dakota Johnson and Alexander Skarsgård as its latest faces.
As Hypebae reports, Valentino Beauty cites the pair’s complementary energies as the reason for the casting — leaning into the brand’s ethos of lived-in intimacy by framing the two less as of a celebrity pairing and more as opposites drawn together by instinct.
Dakota Johnson, who already serves as a fashion ambassador for Maison Valentino, is a fitting extension of Valentino Beauty’s own romantic visual language, with her irreverent, instinctive presence lining up with the house’s push toward individuality. “To me, intimacy is about honesty and connection. I’m drawn to Valentino Beauty’s ability to celebrate individuality while creating something that feels both sensual and deeply human,” she says in a press release.
Meanwhile, Alexander Skarsgård’s magnetic, free-spirited quality makes him the ideal counterpart to Johnson’s energy — with the duo representing magnetic partners with an innate connection. “I couldn’t be happier to join Valentino Beauty for this new chapter.
