According to billboard.com, DaBaby recently had his New Orleans show canceled and it was most likely due to bad ticket sales. The New York Post had reported that the artist would not perform at the Smoothie King Arena in New Orleans on Friday as originally scheduled. Ticketmaster also deactivated their listing of the concert on Tuesday and currently states, “Unfortunately, the Event Organizer has had to cancel your event.” Promoters claim that they are working on assembling a replacement show with a new lineup that will “likely” include DaBaby. Nola.com was speculating that the cancellation was due to low ticket sales, which they concluded after viewing the now deactivated seating chart that showed only a few hundred seats were sold out of the 14,000 in capacity the arena had. MAC Agency founder Andrew Lieber stated that, “DaBaby’s New Orleans show was pulled by the artist’s team due to the promoter being in breach of contract, DaBaby will be back in New Orleans very soon to make it up to his fans.”
Promoter Greg Pulver was even more vague when he spoke of the changes in saying, “We sincerely apologize that we must postpone the For The Culture Tour stop in New Orleans featuring DaBaby that was set to happen on September 2nd. The public information being released is false and we didn’t authorize anyone to announce the cancellation of this event,” he continued to speak on the reasons for the cancellation in saying that, “a number of business reasons why we saw best to do that. We decided to postpone and that was in our best interest.”
