According to hiphopdx.com, DaBaby had plenty of consequences for the controversy at Rolling Loud Miami, where he went on a homophobic rant, where he was removed from several festival lineups. However concerts venues weren’t the only places that took notice, apparently the rapper was supposed to be the face of Burger King’s new campaign aimed at younger audiences prior to the incident. The rapper is quoted in stating, “I don’t know if I’m supposed to speak on this, but whatever, I don’t give a fuck, I have my own meal at Burger King; a lot of people don’t know that. It was called the Jonathan Kirk Meal. They wanted to use my name; I shot a commercial for it and everything, right before everything popped off. I got my name on the box and everything. But it never came out — that’s when all the shit popped off. It was supposed to be the real. The real meal, real ingredients. That was the whole thing, the real.” Burger King ended up going with Nelly instead, releasing the Cornell Haynes Jr. Meal, which had a Whopper with cheese, small fries and a small Sprite. Maybe in the future if the rapper keeps his image clean he will have another shot at his own fast food meal.
