Cowboys Edge Giants in Defensive Showdown, Prescott Continues Dominance

Thursday night’s NFC East clash between the Dallas Cowboys and New York Giants saw the Cowboys claim a 20-15 victory in a tight defensive battle. Both teams entered the game at 1-2, trailing the Washington Commanders and Philadelphia Eagles in the division standings.

Dallas led 14-9 at halftime, thanks to two first-half touchdowns from quarterback Dak Prescott to CeeDee Lamb and Rico Dowdle. Despite the Giants’ best efforts, they were limited to field goals and couldn’t find the end zone. In the second half, neither team managed to score a touchdown, but the Cowboys held on for the win.

Prescott extended his impressive streak against the Giants, securing his 13th consecutive victory over them, a run dating back to 2016. He finished with 263 passing yards and two touchdowns. CeeDee Lamb, who had a spat with Prescott last week, responded with a strong performance, racking up 94 yards and a touchdown in the first half alone.

The Giants, despite a solid showing from Daniel Jones, who completed 29 of 40 passes for 281 yards, couldn’t capitalize on scoring opportunities. Rookie wide receiver Malik Nabers continued to shine, setting an NFL record with at least 25 receptions and three touchdowns in his first four games.

With the win, Dallas moves to 2-2, while New York falls to 1-3, still searching for their breakthrough against their division rivals.
