Sunday night all of the stars were out and in attendance at the Billboard Music Awards and plenty of country stars were recognized for their greatness. The night was filled with great performances and there was even a special tribute done by Madonna. Let’s take a look at the winners of the three country specific awards at the BBMAs…
The Top Country Artist award went to Luke Bryan. He edged out some big names including Sam Hunt, Chris Stapleton, Zac Brown Band, and Carrie Underwood.
The Top Country Song award was won by Thomas Rhett. His song, “Die a Happy Man,” beat out singles from Sam Hunt, Little Big Town, and Chris Young.
The Top Country Album award was given to Chris Stapelton for his album, “Traveller.” Albums from Carrie Underwood, Zac Brown Band, Sam Hunt, and Luke Bryan were also nominated for the award.
