Country Star Lainey Wilson Engaged to Former NFL Quarterback Devlin ‘Duck’ Hodges

Country music star Lainey Wilson has announced her engagement to former NFL quarterback Devlin “Duck” Hodges after four years of dating. The couple shared the news on Instagram, posting photos of the proposal, which took place on a candlelit patio adorned with roses and framed pictures of their journey together. Wilson, 32, donned her signature bell-bottom jeans and a cowboy hat, while Hodges, 28, presented the engagement ring nestled inside a cowboy hat box.

The pair met through mutual friends in Nashville in 2021 but kept their relationship private until making a public debut at the Academy of Country Music Awards in May 2023. Reflecting on their relationship, Wilson previously shared, “He is good as gold, supports me, would never come in between anything that I’m trying to do.”

Hodges, who played for the Pittsburgh Steelers before retiring from professional football in 2022, has since transitioned into a career in real estate. Wilson, known for hits like “Heart Like a Truck” and her role in the television series “Yellowstone,” has often credited Hodges for inspiring her to write love songs, a departure from her earlier work.

The engagement has been met with an outpouring of congratulations from fans and fellow artists alike, celebrating the couple’s joyful news.
