Over the weekend, the nominees for the 2016 Radio Disney Music Awards were announced and they did not disappoint. One of the fun things about this award show are the titles of the awards. An award might be for the Best Male Artist, but it’s also known as “He’s the One.” The Breakout Artist of the Year is also known as “The Buzz.”

Kelsea Ballerini is nominated for Best New Artist or as Disney likes to call it, “The Freshest.” She’s the leading nominee for country stars out there, as she’s also nominated for Radio Disney Country Favorite Song and Radio Disney Country Favorite Artist.
Nominees for Radio Disney Country Favorite Song includes Ballerini, Maddie & Tae, RaeLynn, and Dan + Shay. The nominees for Radio Disney Country Favorite Artist include Ballerini, Hunter Hayes, Maddie & Tae, and Sam Hunt.
