Class of 2020 Country Music Hall of Fame Honored by George Strait, Alan Jackson, More

Over the weekend, the Country Music Hall of Fame ushered in Hank Williams Jr., Marty Stuart, and Dean Dillon as its 2020 inductees.

As per tradition, each inductee was able to pick a Hall of Fame member to bring them into the family.

George Strait, who officially inducted the outlaw legend into the Hall, and Kenny Chesney performed for Dillon. Strait chose to sing “The Chair” and Chesney went with “A Lot of Things Different,” which was co-written by Dillon and other Hall of Fame Bill Anderson. A newer country artist, Brittney Spencer, also brought her own rendition of “Tennessee Whiskey” to honor Dillon’s new achievement.

Stuart was celebrated by Emmylou Harris and Charlie Worsham with their duet of “Tempted.” Ashley McBryde also performed for the musician’s induction with “The Observation of a Crow,” as well as Pastor Evelyn Hubbard with “It’s Time to Go Home.” Stuart chose for his wife and fellow Hall of Fame Connie Smith to induct him with the gold medallion.

Shooter Jennings honored Williams with “Feelin’ Better,” while Eric Church chose to perform the honoree’s signature song, “A Country Boy Can Survive.” Rounding out the celebration was Alan Jackson with “The Blues Man,” which led up to Brenda Lee inducting Williams as the final Country Music Hall of Fame inductee for 2020.
