Chris Stapleton Wins 2021 CMA Awards Album of the Year, Plus Other Big Wins

Tonight, the 55th annual Country Music Associate Awards aired live from Nashville with Luke Bryan as a first-time host of the show.

The evening opened with Miranda Lambert performing a medley of her hit songs, Bryan slinging a few jokes, and a banger of a first honor: Chris Stapleton taking home song of the year for “Starting Over.”

Stapleton went on to win three more awards throughout the night: single of the year for the same track, album of the year, and male vocalist of the year.

Other big wins of the night included Luke Combs for entertainer of the year, Carly Pearce for female vocalist of the year, Jimmie Allen for new CMA artist of the year, Old Dominion for vocal group of the year, and Brothers Osbourne for vocal duo of the year.
