On Thursday, August 27th, country superstar Chris Stapleton announced that he’s Starting Over with his forthcoming fourth studio album, which is slated to drop on November 13th via Mercury Records Nashville. Along with the announcement, he dropped the first title track “Starting Over”.
Starting Over was co-written with Mike Henderson, and is available for pre-order/pre-save. The project at his second home over at Nashville’s RCA Studio A with some collaborators old and new. On the new record, you can hear Stapleton’s wife Morgane, who sings and plays tambourine on the new record.
Before the world shut down due to the coronavirus pandemic, the entire album was finished back in February. Stapleton’s 14 fresh songs display and appreciate life’s simplest pleasures while also being emotional and vulnerable. Three of the tracks are covers of John Fogerty’s “Joy Of My Life” and Guy Clark’s “Worry B Gone” and “Old Friends.”
