Beabadoobee has recruited some notable names from the heavier side of alternative music for her new album Pylon, bringing members of Deftones and Turnstile into the mix.
Deftones frontman Chino Moreno makes a guest appearance on the song “Satellite,” adding another collaboration to his extensive work outside his own band.
Turnstile vocalist Brendan Yates also joins the album, appearing on the track “Powerlines.” His involvement gives Pylon another connection to the modern rock and hardcore world.
The two appearances put beabadoobee alongside musicians from bands that have helped shape different generations of alternative heavy music. Deftones have maintained a distinctive presence across alternative metal and rock, while Turnstile have become one of the most prominent acts to emerge from the contemporary hardcore scene.
With Moreno featured on “Satellite” and Yates appearing on “Powerlines,” Pylon brings those musical worlds into beabadoobee’s latest project through two high-profile collaborations.
