Chase Rice Steps Away From Touring to Recharge After 13 Years on the Road

Chase Rice is pressing pause on life as a full-time touring artist, saying years of nonstop performances have finally caught up with him.

After spending more than a decade on the road, the country singer revealed he is taking an extended break from heavy touring to recharge both personally and creatively. Rice explained that the demanding schedule has left him exhausted and feeling disconnected from the passion that first drew him to music.

The singer made it clear that the decision is not a retirement. Instead, he views the hiatus as an opportunity to experience life beyond the stage, believing those experiences will help shape stronger, more authentic songs in the future.

Rice said he hopes the time away will allow him to reconnect with family, friends and everyday moments that can inspire his songwriting. While fans will still have a few chances to see him perform at select dates, his schedule will be dramatically lighter than it has been over the past 13 years.

He also expressed appreciation for the musicians, crew members and supporters who have stood by him throughout his career, thanking them for helping turn his dream into reality.

Rice rose to prominence after appearing on the reality series Survivor before establishing himself as one of country music’s successful recording artists and songwriters. His career includes co-writing Florida Georgia Line’s blockbuster hit “Cruise” along with several chart-topping songs released under his own name.

For now, Rice says the focus is on restoring his creativity and finding new inspiration, with the expectation that the time away will ultimately make both the music and the live performances stronger when he returns.
