Changes with 3 Doors Down

On March 11 of this year, 3 Doors Down released “Us and the Night,” the band’s sixth album. Before that their last album release came all the way back in 2011. The band has changed a lot since five years ago and it shows with their members.

Sadly, we saw the passing of founding member, Matt Roberts just a few weeks ago due to drug overdose. He wasn’t a part of the band for the 2016 album, but was before that a key member of the band. The lead guitarist is now Chet Roberts with bass being played by Justin Biltonen. Another key move is the addition of Matt Wallace as the band’s producer. You know him from his work with Slayer and Nirvana.

Even with these changes the band still has the same sound that made “Kryptonite” such a big hit. It’s a different time to be a 3 Doors Down fan, but it’s also an exciting one. The band showed that with the music they put out in March.
