Celebrating the Great Jimmy Webb

At first blush the name Jimmy Webb does is not a familiar one, but it should be. Jimmy Webb is one of the most prolific songwriters in music, having written million dollar sellers like “Up, Up and Away,” for the Fifth Dimension, “Wichita Lineman,” “By the Time I Get to Phoenix,” “Galveston,” for Glen Campbell, “The Worst That Could Happen,” for a one hit wonder group called the Brooklyn Bridge, “All I Know,” for Art Garfunkel, and “MacArthur Park” for Richard Harris.

On May 3rd, tons of celebrities and stars will appear at “A Celebration of the Music of Jimmy Webb: The Cake and the Rain,” at Carnegie Hall in New York City.

Scheduled to appear to help honor Jimmy are Dwight Yoakam, Marilyn McCoo and Billy Davis Jr., Graham Nash, Amy Grant., Johnny Rivers, Toby Keith and Glen Campbell’s daughter Ashley.
