Ahead of the release of her self-titled sophomore album on Feb. 14, Carly Pearce is celebrating a new decade with brand new music. The country star has released a new track titled “Call Me.”
Penned by Little Big Town’s Phillip Sweet and Jimi Westbrook with Emily Shackelton and busbee, The feel-good track follows the release of previous single “I Hope You’re Happy Now” featuring Lee Brice as well as “Closer To You” and “It Won’t Always Be Like This.”
“It’s a little different for me,” Pearce says. “Sticking the dobro and banjo on it, it became this rhythmic different musical moment and it lets me be sassy. Just because I got married doesn’t mean that I don’t want to be sexy and flirty and fun.
The infectious tune has the country singer telling a man with a broken heart that there’s no need for him to stay home and be lonely. “For a good time call me/ Baby you won’t be sorry/ Lay your hands and your kisses on me/ And I’ll make it all alright,” she croons on the chorus.
