Cardi B has officially re-entered the spotlight with the release of her latest single, “Outside,” marking her first new music of 2025. After teasing the track at Spotify’s Cannes Lions event earlier this week, the rapper surprised fans by dropping the fiery anthem on June 20.
“OUTSIDE 😤 IS OUT NOW,” Cardi announced to her 169 million Instagram followers, celebrating the release with a candid video on her Stories. “I made this song a few months ago when I was very, very angry,” she shared, admitting that she even had to tweak some of the lyrics before release.
Produced by Charlie Heat and HeyMicki, “Outside” delivers Cardi’s signature unapologetic energy, with scathing bars aimed at unfaithful partners — a message that arrives amid her well-publicized estrangement from Offset.
The rapper debuted the song live at Spotify’s Cannes party, alongside hits like “Bodak Yellow,” “Up,” and “WAP.” Despite confessing to having a “bad day,” Cardi’s stage presence didn’t falter.
As for her long-awaited sophomore album? Cardi promises fans it’s coming — and she’s feeling confident. “I’m 100 percent confident with this album,” she declared. “What I got is not out there.”
