Cage The Elephant’s Matt Shultz Has Been Arrested on Gun Possession Charges

Matt Shultz of Cage the Elephant was recently arrested for having guns in his possession. He was taken into custody at the Bowery Hotel in Lower Manhattan last Thursday after two loaded firearms were found in his room, according to the NYPD.

It was reported that the police came after a hotel employee saw Shultz carrying a firearm into the rest room. They were able to recover two loaded .45 caliber guns, a Sig Sauer and a Smith & Wesson. He was taken into custody after lacking a license for the two firearms. Shultz spent the night at the 9th precinct stationhouse in Lower Manhattan after being charged with felony firearm possession.
