Busy Philipps Opens Up About ADHD Diagnosis and New Beginnings on ‘Today’ Show

On a recent episode of the “Today” show, Busy Philipps shared a personal revelation about her mental health, disclosing that she was diagnosed with ADHD alongside her daughter, Birdie. The revelation came during a routine doctor’s visit for Birdie, which unexpectedly led to Philipps recognizing similar symptoms in herself. This diagnosis has been a crucial turning point, helping her manage long-standing issues with depression and anxiety.

Philipps, known for her roles in “Dawson’s Creek” and “Mean Girls,” described how understanding her ADHD has transformed her approach to work and personal well-being, contributing to a more fruitful phase in her career over the last six years. She also discussed her new venture, a late-night talk show titled “Busy This Week” on QVC Plus, building on her previous experience with “Busy Tonight” on E!. The show was inspired by a successful holiday special on the network, leading Philipps and her producing partner to see QVC Plus as an ideal platform for their project.

In addition to her professional updates, Philipps touched on her personal life, revealing that she has started dating again following her 2022 separation from Marc Silverstein, after 15 years of marriage. While she kept details private, she candidly expressed that navigating the dating world has been a “wild” experience. The actress continues to embrace new challenges and opportunities with a refreshingly open attitude towards her career and personal growth.
