Bruno Mars Celebrates Streaming Milestone Amidst Gambling Debt Rumors

Bruno Mars recently celebrated a significant milestone by becoming the first artist to reach 150 million monthly listeners on Spotify. Sharing the news on his Instagram Stories, he humorously quipped, “Keep streaming! I’ll be out of debt in no time!”

This lighthearted comment comes in response to earlier rumors alleging that Mars owed over $50 million in gambling debt to MGM Resorts, which he was purportedly repaying through his Las Vegas residency earnings. MGM Resorts has firmly denied these claims, stating, “MGM and Bruno’s partnership is longstanding and rooted in mutual respect. Any speculation otherwise is completely false; he has no debt with MGM.”

Mars has previously addressed these rumors with humor, embracing the “Las Vegas lounge singer in debt to the mob” narrative. In a June 2024 interview, he remarked, “I love the lore that I am a Las Vegas lounge singer in debt to the mob. I can work with that.”

Beyond his residency at Park MGM, Mars continues to expand his presence in Las Vegas with ventures like the Pinky Ring cocktail bar at the Bellagio Resort & Casino. He also remains active in the music scene, collaborating with artists such as Sexyy Red, Lady Gaga, and Blackpink’s Rosé. His recent duet with Lady Gaga, “Die with a Smile,” has garnered critical acclaim and is nominated for Song of the Year at the upcoming Grammy Awards.
