Bruce Springsteen Puts Big Pricetag on Catalog Up For Sale

Bruce Springsteen is reportedly putting up big negotiations for the sale of his recorded music and publishing catalogs that are estimated to be worth between $330M and $415M combined. Sources say the rocker is seeking more than $350M for both.

As one of the most popular musicians in rock history, Springsteen has sold more than 65 million albums in the US alone, which is a clear explanation for the supersized figures. His Born in the U.S.A. album is 15-times platinum, his Born to Run album is six-times platinum, and his The River album is five-times platinum.

A deal is currently being discussed with Sony, though the details are unclear. If the Boss does end up making the big-time sale, he will join a long list of music legends who have also sold catalogs and publishing rights for large sums, lime Neil Young, Bob Dylan, David Crosby, Stevie Nicks, Journey, and Nikki Sixx.
