Brooks & Dunn Concert Takes a Concerning Turn

During a recent performance at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis on April 3, 2025, Ronnie Dunn, the lead singer of the renowned country duo Brooks & Dunn, unexpectedly left the stage during the encore of their hit song “Boot Scootin’ Boogie.” Midway through the performance, Dunn, 71, signaled to the audience to continue singing before exiting, prompting concern among fans.

This incident follows Dunn’s recent health challenges. In March, he battled strep throat and COVID-19 simultaneously—a combination he humorously referred to as “strovid” during a Houston concert on March 22. Despite these ailments, Dunn continued to perform, demonstrating his dedication to fans.

Fans at the Indianapolis show noted that Dunn appeared fatigued and was seated during parts of the concert. While no official statement has been released regarding his current health status, supporters have expressed their well-wishes and hope for his swift recovery.

Brooks & Dunn are scheduled to resume their Neon Moon Tour on April 24 in Iowa. As of now, there have been no announcements of changes to the tour dates. Fans remain hopeful for Dunn’s health and the continuation of the tour as planned.
