Last week, fans loved watching the reactions of broadcasters Kevin Harlan, Stan Van Gundy, and Dan Bonner as they described Furman’s upset of Virginia.
During the matchup number 13 Paladins took advantage of a Cavaliers turnover with under 10 seconds remaining . J.P. Pegues of Furman hit a three pointer and helped the team make their way to their first NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament win since 1974.
Harlan was recently on “Sports Media with Richard Deitsch” and stated that the camera wasn’t on his mind during the broadcast. He then said he wasn’t a fan of CBS and Turner having the camera on him during the game.
Harlan stated, “Kind of embarrassed by it, I’m not comfortable with it. I understand why CBS would want to use that, and I guess I trust my bosses more than I trust myself in this situation. At the same time, if they asked me my preference, I would have said, ‘please don’t put that up there,’ and I still feel the same way.”
On Thursday, the clip had managed over 8.1 million impressions on Twitter.
