According to savingcountrymusic.com, a new country music documentary is coming as courtesy of Country Music Hall of Fame and executive producer Jessi Colter. Where they will go deep into the Outlaw Era of country music, in a series titled, They Called Us Outlaws. The series will be six parts and span over the course of twelve hours where it will go over footage from over 75 hours of interviews with artists both old and new. Some the names included in the series are Willie Nelson, Kris Kristofferson, and Emmylou Harris, along with artists who have since died, such as Guy Clark, Billy Joe Shaver, Tom T. Hall and Jerry Jeff Walker. More contemporary artists include Miranda Lambert, Eric Church, Margo Price, and even actor and well-know Austin, TX resident Matthew McConaughey. The series will also be narrated by Texas musical artist Jack Ingram, who also conducted some of the interviews for the documentary himself. There aren’t many more details yet available, however, country fans are hopeful they will be released soon.
