U2’s Bono has just announced the release of his upcoming autobiography, Surrender: 40 Songs, One Story.
“Surrender is the story of one pilgrim’s lack of progress. . . With a fair amount of fun along the way,” the singer said in a statement. “When I started to write this book, I was hoping to draw in detail what I’d previously only sketched in songs. The people, places, and possibilities in my life. Surrender is a word freighted with meaning for me.”
The memoir will tell the story of Bono’s relationship with music, which was greatly driven by the death of his mother, as well as the conception of U2 and many of the band’s greatest feats.
Surrender: 40 Songs, One Story will hit shelves on November 1.
