Bon Jovi, Sting, Meat Loaf and Michael Jackson – Hollywood Loved Them

Such is life; all singers want to be Hollywood actors, and all Hollywood actors want to be on stage in a band. Here are more rockers that ended up on the silver screen…

Alanis Morissette was in the really weird dark movie ‘Dogma,’ and Marshall Crenshaw appeared in the movie ‘La Bamba’ as Buddy Holly, and the likeness is scary.

How about Jon Bon Jovi in the submarine movie ‘U-571,’ or ‘Young Guns II,’ ‘Pay it Forward,’ ‘New Year’s Eve,’ and ‘The Leading Man?’ Who could forget Meat Loaf as the transgender character in the ‘Fight Club’ movie with Ed Norton?

Sting had a major role in the movie ‘Dune.’ This Sci-Fi was a good fit for Sting in that no one could understand the movie, while Gordon (birth first name) is often misunderstood. Yes, Huey Lewis was in the film ‘Back to the Future.’ Alice Cooper made a cameo in ‘Wayne’s World’ and Madonna appeared in ‘Vision Quest.’

Michael Jackson starred in ‘The Wiz’ with Diana Ross and a cast of other talented performers. The 1978 movie was a dream comes true for Michael, as he credits Diana for giving the Jackson 5 their first big break before signing with Motown.
