Bon Iver, the acclaimed indie folk project led by Justin Vernon, has announced the release of their fifth studio album, SABLE, fABLE, scheduled for April 11, 2025, via Jagjaguwar. This marks the band’s first full-length release since 2019’s i,i.
The 12-track album begins with the three songs from last year’s SABLE EP—”Things Behind Things Behind Things,” “S P E Y S I D E,” and “Awards Season”—and features collaborations with artists such as Dijon, Flock of Dimes, and Danielle Haim. Vernon co-produced the album with Jim-E Stack, continuing their established partnership.
In a statement, the band described the project: “If SABLE, was the prologue, then fABLE is the book. But together, SABLE, fABLE is the album, and for that reason it is no fairy tale.”
The lead single, “Everything Is Peaceful Love,” is set to be released on February 14, accompanied by a music video directed by John Wilson.
SABLE, fABLE is anticipated to blend Bon Iver’s signature introspective style with fresh collaborative elements, offering fans a new chapter in the band’s evolving soundscape.
