Blake Shelton Sues for Million and More in This Week’s Music Headlines

If you’ve ever been to an Eagles, Waylon Jennings or Travis Tritt concert, you’ve heard the song ‘Seven Bridges Road.” The writer of that wonderful tune, Steve Young, died Thursday night in Nashville at the age of 73.

In a month where sport reporter Erin Andrews and former wrestler Hulk Hogan have won substantial money judgments against news entities, Blake Shelton has taken action to sue ‘In Touch Weekly’ about an article that deals with his rehab, post his divorce from Miranda Lambert. Blake wants more than $2 million dollars for damages.

Longtime song writer and music icon Kris Kristofferson was honored in Nashville this past week at the Bridgestone Arena. The building was filled with stars and contemporary illumines including Reba, Allison Krauss, Lady Antebellum, Eric Church, Darius Rucker, Hank Williams Jr., Lee Ann Womack and more. Kris’s life as writer, performer and actor was celebrated.

Jo Dee Messina is set to auction off a ton of personal items, as she prepares to move and sell her home in Franklin TV. Included desirables up for sale are autographed albums, awards, exercise equipment and art works.
