Billie Eilish has thrown her support behind Vice President Kamala Harris’s White House bid, urging her fans to “vote like your life depends on it.” In a video posted on social media, Eilish emphasized the importance of voting for Harris and Tim Walz, praising their efforts to protect reproductive rights, the environment, and democracy.
“We can’t let extremists control our lives, our freedoms, and our future,” added Eilish’s brother and collaborator, Finneas O’Connell, in the video shared with Eilish’s over 7 million followers on X. “The choice is clear,” the post stated.
Eilish, 22, previously supported Joe Biden’s 2020 presidential campaign and performed at the virtual Democratic National Convention. She also met with Biden at the White House in 2022.
Her endorsement coincided with National Voter Registration Day and followed another high-profile endorsement for Harris. Last week, Taylor Swift announced her support for Harris in a surprise social media post immediately after the presidential debate. Swift praised Harris as a “warrior” fighting for crucial rights and causes.
Eilish’s message echoes the urgency of this election season, calling on her fans to make their voices heard at the polls.
