Bill Hader to Voice The Cat in Warner Bros.’ Animated “The Cat in the Hat”

Warner Bros. has set a date for its upcoming animated spectacle, “The Cat in the Hat,” based on Dr. Seuss’s timeless story. The film, scheduled to hit theaters on March 6, 2026, promises to be a major event with a star-studded voice cast. Leading the ensemble is Bill Hader, lending his voice to the whimsical Cat, alongside a talented roster including Quinta Brunson, Bowen Yang, Xochitl Gomez, Matt Berry, and Paula Pell.

Under the direction and writing of Alessandro Carloni and Erica Rivinoja, and produced by Daniela Mazzucato and Jared Stern, the film brings to life the adventures of the mischievous Cat as he aims to brighten the lives of two siblings adjusting to a new town. This collaboration between Warner Bros. Pictures Animation and Dr. Seuss Enterprises, with DNEG Animation as the studio partner, marks the animated debut of “The Cat in the Hat” on the big screen, following the 2003 live-action adaptation starring Mike Myers.

Bill Damaschke, president of Warner Bros. Animation, expressed excitement over the partnership with Dr. Seuss Enterprises and the talented voice cast. The film is the first among several animated projects being developed in collaboration with Dr. Seuss Enterprises, promising a delightful cinematic journey into the beloved Seussian world.
