Bill Cosby May Return to Touring in 2023

Bill Cosby is thinking of returning to the comedy stage after his sexual assault conviction was overturned by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court in June of 2021. On Wednesday, Cosby hinted at a return to touring in 2023 while being interviewed by Scott Spears. He stated, “Yes. Yes because there’s so much fun to be had in this storytelling that I do. Years ago, maybe 10 years ago, I found it was better to say it after I write it.” Cosby’s publicist Andrew Wyatt also confirmed the news in saying, “We’re looking at getting back out here around Spring/Summer of 202.”

Cosby ended up being freed after serving only two years of a three to 10 year sentence in a state prison after his sexual assault conviction due to the court ruling a “non-prosecution agreement” the actor made with a previous prosecutor should have prevented him from being charged in a case that stemmed from a 2004 encounter with an accuser named Andrea Constand.

Back in March of 2022 the U.S. Supreme Court without comment ruled it wouldn’t be reviewing Cosby’s sexual assault case, ending a two decade long legal battle, leaving him free. Now 85 years old, the last time he toured was in 2015 and drew protests at his shows due to the allegations that were made. At the time, Cosby hadn’t been charged yet.
