The Big Ten Tournament has already started and is already providing a whole lot of action. In its first day of games, we saw an overtime win and two upsets out of the four games being played.
Michigan won in overtime against Iowa by six, providing us with a possible last-second win in regulation that didn’t sneak in. Iowa just didn’t have enough to keep up with number 15 Michigan at Madison Square Garden.
Wisconsin and Rutgers went into their games with many thinking they’d lose, but they did just the opposite. They took down Maryland and Indiana respectively, teams that had won 8 and 9 games conference this season. On the other hand, Rutgers went just 3-15 in conference while Wisconsin went 7-11. The final winner of the first day was Penn State who pulled away in the second half to win by 8.
