According to hiphopdx.com, Beyoncé was set to release her Renaissance album on Friday, July 29th, however, Variety has reported that copies of the album have made their way online. Most recently, social media posts have been posting links to the project and downloads are easily available with a quick search. There are also pictures of physical copies being sold in France making rounds on social media, however, the posts are being removed as quickly as they go up. This comes as a surprise as her team is usually pretty good at keeping things hidden such as her 2013 self-titled album that came as a surprise to fans. The artist has had a different approach with her latest album, slowly teasing details of it via interviews and social media posts. However, that does not mean the artist wanted the album to end up getting leaked. Beyoncé revealed the track list last week, along with a quote stating, “Creating this album allowed me a place to dream and to find escape during a scary time for the world. It allowed me to feel free and adventurous in a time when little else was moving. My intention was to create a safe place, a place without judgment. A place to be free of perfectionism and overthinking. A place to scream, release, feel freedom. It was a beautiful journey of exploration. I hope you find joy in this music. I hope it inspires you to release the wiggle. Ha! And to feel as unique, strong, and sexy as you are.”
