On Sunday, February 5th, Beyoncé won yet another award. Beyoncé’s “Plastic Off The Sofa” won Best Traditional R&B Performance at the 65th Grammy Awards. It marks Beyoncé’s third win in the category and ties her with Lalah Hathaway as the most awarded artist in the category.
“Plastic Off The Sofa” is off of Beyoncé’s platinum selling album, Renaissance, which was nominated for Album of the Year and Best Dance/Electronic Album at the 65th Grammy Awards. The song itself was co-written by Beyoncé, Sabrina Claudio, Sydney Bennett, Nick Green, and Patrick Paige II.
Overall, Beyoncé was nominated for nine Grammys this year, and also won, Best Dance/Electronic Recording for “Break My Soul” at the Premiere Ceremony prior to the Grammy Awards.
