Beyoncé Knowles-Carter is making waves at the 2024 People’s Choice Country Awards, securing an impressive 12 nominations for her latest album, Cowboy Carter. The iconic singer, known for her genre-crossing influence, leads the nominations alongside Zach Bryan, who has 11 nods.
Hosted by Shania Twain, this year’s awards will be broadcast live from the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville, celebrating the best in country music. The event, now in its second year, features 18 fan-voted categories, making it a true reflection of public opinion.
Beyoncé’s nominations span a wide range of categories, including Female Artist, Social Country Star, Album, Song, and more. Notably, she has two entries in the Female Song category for her hits “16 Carriages” and “Texas Hold ’Em,” and two in the Cover Song category for her renditions of The Beatles’ “Blackbird” and Dolly Parton’s “Jolene.” She is also up for the prestigious People’s Artist of 2024 award.
Her latest album, released on March 29, has already made history, with surprise singles “Texas Hold ’Em” and “16 Carriages” debuting during a Super Bowl commercial. The album has played a significant role in shining a light on Black country artists and the genre’s deep roots.
