The Oscars are hoping to create a night to remember this coming Sunday with big changes and even bigger performances for the event.
The most recent effort has been Oscar organizers doing whatever they can to have Beyoncé perform her track “Be Alive,” co-written with artist Dixson for the Best Picture contender King Richard, from the tennis courts in Compton, California, where Venus and Serena Williams practiced as young girls.
While nothing is yet set in stone, many close sources are confirming that a plan is in process.
Beyoncé has previously performed at the Oscars, including “Learn to Be Lonely” from the 2005 Phantom of the Opera remake, a Dreamgirls medley in 2007 alongside Jennifer Hudson and Anika Noni Rose, and a movie musical montage with Hugh Jackman in 2009.
The 2022 Academy Awards will air this Sunday, March 27th, on ABC.
