Beyoncé Boosts Demand for Telfar Handbag after mentioning the Brand in ‘Renaissance’

Beyoncé’s final words on her record-breaking album has caused the demand for affordable U.S. brand Telfar to soar!

According to reports, as a result of a shoutout made by Beyoncé on her new album “Renaissance,” searches for the luxury brand’s signature handbag is higher than ever. On the final track of the album, Beyoncé switched out her Birkin for Telfar in the lyrics. The superstar sings,This Telfar bag imported / Birkins, them s—t’s in storage / I’m in my bag.”

On July 29, the day “Renaissance” was released, Telfar reportedly saw a whopping 85% spike in views on popular luxury resale site The RealReal. In addition, Telfar’s searches, page views, and “add to bag” clicks spiked 47% on resale platform Fashionphile following the singer’s latest album drop.

Telfar, an independent Black-owned fashion brand, was up a whopping 131% on item views at resale platforms, comparing the last weekend of July this year (when the album dropped) to the last weekend of July last year.  The label’s trendy handbag is completely sold out on the brand’s website, but available on multiple resale platforms.

The Telfar luxury brand handbags are best known as the “Bushwick Birkin” due to the Brooklyn-based label typically selling out within minutes of being restocked. The hot handbag comes in multiple colors and several sizes that retail for between $150 and $300, opposed to the five figures one can expect to hand over for a Hermès’ Birkin bag.
