Beyonce, Adele, Drake and More on the UK Year End Charts

Recently we have discussed the year-end charts from Mediabase, which covers the United States, but what about how all of the hits have been received in the UK? Official Charts Company released their year-end album chart and there are plenty of big names on it.

The number one album comes from Adele, which should surprise no one. Her hit album, “25,” was a huge hit from the minute it was released. Her second to last album release, “21,” also made the chart at number 47! The alternative rock band, Coldplay, had the second best album last year while Michael Ball & Alfie Boe round out the top three.

Drake had an outstanding year in the United States and apparently did in the UK as well. “Views” finished at eight on the chart. The same goes for Beyonce, as her hit album, “Lemonade,” finished just outside the top 10 at number 11. Other big names to make the chart include Rihanna (Anti – 32), Prince (The Very Best Of – 42) and the Weeknd (Starboy – 52).
