According to ultimateclassicrock.com, The Beach Boys are releasing a box set titled Sail on Sailor 1972 that contains music from 1972’s Carl and the Passions – “So Tough” and 1973’s Holland set to arrive on November 18th. The Box Set includes Holland’s Mount Vernon and Fairway (A Fairytale) Ep, newly remastered versions of both albums, as well as a previously unreleased concert recording from New York City’s Carnegie Hall on Thanksgiving of 1972.
The box set is produced by Mark Linett and Alan Boyd and includes alternative mixes, unreleased outtakes, a cappella versions of multiple songs and much more. Out of the 105 tracks, 80 of them have never been released before. The super deluxe version of the box set also includes a 48-page booklet with liner notes by Howie Edelson, containing both new and archival interviews with the Beach Boys, rare photos of the band, producer notes from Linett and Boyd, promotional memorabilia and more.
