Barry Manilow Delays Tour Again as Health Recovery Continues

Barry Manilow has announced the cancellation and rescheduling of multiple tour dates as he continues to recover from health issues related to recent lung surgery. The iconic singer, whose career spans decades and includes timeless classics such as Copacabana and Mandy, made the difficult decision to pause a significant stretch of his 2026 tour in order to prioritize his well-being.

Manilow revealed that doctors removed a cancerous spot from his lung late last year, and although the early-stage diagnosis and surgery were successful, his recovery has been slower than anticipated. Despite rigorous efforts to rebuild his strength — including regular exercise and vocal practice — the 82-year-old admitted he still cannot sustain the length and intensity of a full show. His physician recently advised that his lungs are simply not ready for the demanding 90-minute performances that his fans expect.

As a result, a series of arena concerts originally scheduled between late February and mid-March have been rescheduled for later dates. This marks one of several adjustments to his touring plans, following earlier delays that affected Las Vegas residency shows. Manilow, known for his deep connection with fans, expressed his disappointment but made clear that his health must come first.

In a heartfelt message to supporters, Manilow thanked fans for their unwavering encouragement and promised that he plans to return stronger when his recovery allows. He has hopes of performing select dates in late March and continuing the tour into April once his lungs are fully healed.
