One of our favorite singers Barbra Streisand is still entertaining millions of her fans, still on tour as we speak. Barbra will be at the Toyota Center in Houston on Sunday November 27th, then in Tampa at the Amalie Arena on the 30th. She will then perform in Sunrise, FL on the 3rd of December, then at the American Airlines Arena in Miami on the 5th of December.
Did you know that Barbra had a very tough early start to life? Streisand’s dad died in 1943 at the age of 34. Barbra was just one year old, and struggled with poverty until her mom remarried in 1949.
In April of 1961, Barbara’s first appearance on the Tonight Show, where she sang “A Sleepin’ Bee,” which jump started her career as TV watchers found her to be very relaxing and funny.
Barbra Streisand has sold over 145 million records, her biggest movie was the 1968 film ‘Funny Girl,’ and in her personal but previous years, then Canadian Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau proposed his hand in marriage in 1969, but she declined. What a life she has lived!
