In a celebratory Instagram post this week, Avril Lavigne shared the exciting news that she has officially signed a contract with fellow punk-rocker Travis Barker’s record label, DTA Records.
“Should I drop my first single next week,” the “Sk8er Boi” singer teased in the caption of a carousel of photos from her and Barker posing with matching “DTA” cakes to a snapshot of herself signing the contract.
Lavigne hasn’t released original material since 2019, and fans are clamoring for new music after a long three-year wait. Hopefully, being alongside one of her most frequent collaborators will skyrocket Lavigne–yet again–to the top of the punk rock scene.
