If you’re looking for a new gaming snack, you don’t have to look any further than the new Pringles flavor. This limited edition launch should be a big hit with Halo fans, because the company just unveiled Moa Burger-flavored crisps (remember, Pringles can’t technically call them “chips”).
The idea for this variety comes from the Halo gaming world, in which the Moa are large, flightless bird-like creatures with two legs, wings, scales from the neck up, and a lizard-like head. It’s described as being similar to the extinct New Zealand bird (also called Moa). In the Halo planet, the fictional bird is the signature dish at a restaurant chain, Reach. So around the net, gamers have started musing about what the creature would taste like in burger form. Naturally.
Pringles has decided to answer that question itself by introducing the new Pringles Wavy Moa Burger variety. The thick, wavy crisps feature a blend of garlic, sweet ginger, and savory beef. You’ll notice hints of chili pepper and red pepper to bring the heat. “Through Pringles’ exclusive partnership with Halo, the new Moa Burger flavor brings to life the food from the Halo universe with an interstellar twist on the much-enjoyed, sometimes-ridden, and often misunderstood Moa bird,” the description says.
The limited-edition flavor is available exclusively at Walmart and Walmart.com beginning this month. Even if you’ve never played Halo a day in your life, you can still enjoy the burger-inspired chips … and you should.
