Apple has confirmed that Apple Intelligence is coming to the Vision Pro in April. Apple Intelligence will be available on the pricey headset in beta with visionOS 2.4. It will support US English to start, and more features and support for additional languages will roll out throughout the year, Apple says.

As PCMag reports, initial Apple Intelligence features include Writing Tools with ChatGPT support, Genmoji, Image Playground, Smart Reply, memory movies, and natural language search. New apps include Spatial Gallery, which features “a curated collection of spatial photos, spatial videos, and panoramas from artists, filmmakers, photographers, and more,” Apple says.

It also confirmed that the Vision Pro’s Guest User mode will be revamped for guest users. Users will now be able to set up guests via their iPhone without having to set access privileges on the device itself. “make it easier than ever for users to share apps and experiences with family, friends, and colleagues using a nearby iPhone or iPad.” Apple reportedly also plans to add a new app to the headset, enabling users to view spatial content specifically tailored to the device, capture 3D images, and view panoramas.

Even with the updates to visionOS, the world of VR and AR software is looking more competitive than ever for Apple. Google launched Android XR in December 2024, a software ecosystem and operating system intended for wearable displays like VR headsets. Based on Android, the OS supports a large number of apps out of the box, alongside the development of new tools for a variety of platforms, like the popular gaming engine Unity.
