Angelina Jolie’s Proud Production of ‘The Outsiders’ Takes Broadway by Storm

Angelina Jolie, renowned actress and filmmaker, is thrilled to present the new musical adaptation of S. E. Hinton’s classic novel, “The Outsiders.” In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE, Jolie expresses her deep connection to the material and admiration for the creative team behind the production.

“It’s been a privilege to be a part of the process,” Jolie shares. “I have so much respect for Broadway and all who work within.”

The musical, set in 1960s Tulsa, Oklahoma, explores the lives of two rival groups—the greasers and the Socs—and their struggles with identity and belonging. Jolie emphasizes the emotional impact of the show, particularly on young audiences.

“I’ve been in the theater watching as the first reactions came in, including the often very emotional reaction from young people. It’s very moving,” she reveals.

With a talented cast led by Brody Grant, Brent Comer, Jason Schmidt, and Sky Lakota-Lynch, supported by Daryl Tofa and Joshua Boone, the production promises to captivate audiences with its powerful storytelling and dynamic performances.
