If you have a few thousand dollars to spend, you might want to check out the “Icons & Idols: Rock N’ Roll Auction,” scheduled for early November in Los Angeles, at Julien’s. The items up for auction are going to be glorious!
Expected to be up for bid is memorabilia from Jimi Hendrix, Prince, John Lennon and more. Earlier in the year, in a separate auction, Ringo Starr contributed a great many personal items for bid.
In 2015, John Lennon’s 1962 J-160E Gibson acoustic guitar sold for more than $2 million dollars in auction. John bought this guitar in 1962 and used that very same acoustic guitar in the recordings of “P.S. I Love You” and “Love Me Do,” which made it so attractive at bid.
One of the most interesting items up for the upcoming Julien’s auction this November is the album cover of the Beatles classic ‘Hard Day’s Night,’ signed by all four Beatles. This rarity is thought to be the only LP cover of its kind in existence.
