The popular television show American Idol has been renewed by ABC for another season, scheduled to return for the 2018-2019 year. Host Ryan Seacrest will be the host, with judges Lionel Richie, Katy Perry and Luke Bryan all making plans to be on set for the renewed season.
ABC says American Idol generates the most social traffic, and their Sunday episodes typically draw an average of 9.3 million viewers. The show has just announced a 40-city tour kicking off July 11th, starring the top seven finalists Maddie Poppe and Michael J. Woodard, Cade Foehner, Catie Turner, Gabby Barrett, Caleb Lee Hutchinson, and Jurnee; the tour’s special guest will be season eight winner Kris Allen.
