AMAs Announce 2025 Comeback After Two-Year Hiatus

After a two-year hiatus, the American Music Awards (AMAs) are set to make a grand return on May 26, 2025. This revival follows a strategic shift from their traditional November slot, aiming to rejuvenate the event and align it more closely with the annual music calendar.

The AMAs, established in 1973 by Dick Clark, have long been a cornerstone in celebrating musical achievements across various genres. Their return is highly anticipated by both artists and fans, promising a renewed celebration of musical excellence.

In the interim, CBS honored the legacy of the AMAs with a 50th-anniversary special aired on October 6, 2024. This retrospective featured memorable performances and highlighted the award show’s significant impact on the music industry over the past five decades.

As the AMAs prepare for their 2025 comeback, expectations are high for a spectacular event that will once again recognize and honor the year’s most influential artists and their contributions to music.
