Amanda Bynes is hoping to soon end the nine-year conservatorship she has been under since August of 2013.
According to her lawyer, David A. Esquibias, the former Nickelodeon actress “believes her condition is improved and protection of the court is no longer necessary.”
Just recently, Bynes took to Instagram to thank her fans for their support while she prepares to soon enter this new chapter of her life.
“What’s up Instagram,” the actress said in a brief video. “Amanda Bynes here. My court date is coming up in two weeks. I want to thank you all for your love and support. Peace out.”
Bynes’ parents were reported to be in “100 percent support” of their daughter’s decision.
“The parents are happy, thrilled to get this good news,” their attorney said. “The professionals say she is ready to make her own life choices and decisions and are so proud of her.”
